Sourced from a boutique winery in the Barossa Valley with a history of producing some of the best, richest and complex reds in the region.
The product engages sustainable grape growing practices from diverse cover crop selection to improve soil health and boost insect growth; to composting and undervine mulching; and introduction of beneficial predators for pest control. The vines receive minimal irrigation and are pruned for vine balance, resulting in maximum fruit quality and varietal expression.
This wine will reward careful short-term cellaring. Medium bodied with lively fruit driven wine with dominant aromas of blood-plum, mulberry and red currant, with hints of mocha and red liquorice. Berry, plum and spice flavours fill the palate, with a touch of oak that supports but doesn't dominate. Fine, ripe tannins give length, with a finish that's soft, yet gently structured, with delicious lingering flavour.
